About Us

Our farm is located in the beautiful and scenic Geauga County in
Northeastern Ohio. My husband and I raised horses for many years. As
our children became adults, we realized that we wanted to have some
common goal for our upcoming retirement years. Alpacas we realized,
helped us to achieve that goal. We started our adventure in the fall and
re-arranged our horse barn to accommodate our alpacas to bring
them home by Thanksgiving weekend.
We have been breeding ever since and the desire to own Alpacas has
not diminished in our eyes. We strive for strong, healthy,
conformationally correct frames and the finest quality fiber production.
Our annual fiber production ends up in our store one way or another. It
may be a roving, processed yarns, handmade accessories and
garments to felted pieces such as ornaments, hats or purses.
After all, fiber is the primary reason to raise these animals. So here at the
“Alpacas to Apparel”TM Retail Clothing and Gift Shop you will find
handmade, locally grown fibers to some of the fine clothing available
from our fiber co-operative.
Our farm is small enough to have a hands on personal care, but wise
enough to have diverse genetics and bloodlines. We raise, breed and
sell our offspring along with showing only our highest quality
production. Our success is based on the achievements of our clients
who have started their alpaca breeding programs and are achieving
their own success.
